A Control Panel is a software tool that is used to manage the content of a web hosting account. This includes, but is not limited to, files, e-mails, databases, stats and various operations carried out with them. The Control Panel provides a web-based interface to handle all of these things and anything else associated with the web hosting service via different sections in which you can access functions through buttons and/or menus. The easier to use a CP is, the simpler it'll be for you to handle your web presence as a whole. In the common case, the Control Panel is the Internet hosting account’s back office, while an independent billing account is employed to control payments and domain name registrations - if the company provides that service. Trouble tickets could be addressed via the billing account or through a different system.
